Meet your Adoption Staff
Jami Hogan- Adoption Director
My name is Jami Hogan and I am the Adoption Director at TBH. After receiving my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Dallas Baptist University, I interned with the Presbyterian Children’s Home in Waxahachie, working with consultants, family teachers, and children through the Family Teaching Model. I have been with the home since 2001 and in Adoption since 2005. I love my job where I get to work with families and advocate for children! Some of my responsibilities include handling inquiries from prospective adoptive parents and birth parents, providing orientation and training of prospective adoptive parents, and filing the necessary court documents with the court of jurisdiction. I also serve on the Program Management Team assisting with program development.
Nikki Nangauta-Private Infant Adoption Case Manager
Hi! My name is Nikki and I am the Private Infant Adoption Case Manager. I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2006, with a degree in Social Work. I worked for a few years in child care and then for my church with the youth group. I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work in August 2010. Whoo! I started interning for the Texas Baptist Home in January ’10 and got hired on in the adoption department at the end of April. I have loved every minute of it! Some interesting things about me: my hard to pronounce last name is thanks to my Dad who’s from Guam; I’m a military brat and now traveling is in my blood. I love to work with the youth kids at my church and have been doing this since I was in the youth group there myself; I enjoy reading and force myself to enjoy exercise. I love where God has me. I love that I get to be part of helping children find forever families and empowering our birth moms to make plans for their child as well as for themselves.
Rachel Maldonado-Adoption Case Manager
My name is Rachel, and I am the Adoption Case Manager for our Foster to Adopt families! I graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood Texas (Sting Em!!), where I met my wonderful husband Pedro. We recently married in June 2010, and I love being a wife! I’ve been with the Adoption Department since June 2010, but am no newbie to the Texas Baptist Home family. I came to TBH in October 2007, fresh out of college, and began working as a Foster Care Case Manager. After a year, I took a lateral move within the agency and became the Family Recruiter and Developer. I am now in the Adoption Department and love learning about this awesome journey God has allowed me to be a part of. I think that adoption is a huge commitment, and I am excited when a family decides that’s where God is leading them. David tells us in Psalm 68:6, “God sets the lonely in families…” and it excites me when I see Him fulfilling this promise. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
Megan Baldwin-Post Adoption Coordinator
Hello! My name is Megan Baldwin, and I have been the Post Adoption Coordinator at TBH since October 2010! I provide post adoption services to our families and birth mom’s such as helping locate a support group or other resources, working with Medicaid, planning events and fundraisers for our Post-Adoptive families, and Search and Reunion. I graduated from LeTourneau University, Longview campus, in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Psychology. During my college career, I attended Focus Leadership Institute in Colorado, interned at Arms of Hope– Boles Campus in Quinlan, Texas, and peer counseled at the Pregnancy Resource Center in Rockwall, Texas. I have a heart for families and helping meet the needs of women and children. I love being with people, making crafty things, gardening, and reading in my spare time.
